Samsung, Google Ink Patent License Agreement

Samsung and Google have reached a deal to share their intellectual property covering a broad range of technologies and business areas, announced Samsung on January 27. The global patent cross-license agreement includes patents currently owned by both companies and any patent filed in the next 10 years. The agreement "paves the way for deeper collaboration on research and development of current and future products and technologies", said Samsung. However, financial terms were yet disclosed in the deal. Over the past years, Samsung has been the world's biggest vendor of smartphones powered by Google's Android OS (Operating System)
